The Cottontown Quail grounds include 160 acres of gently rolling terrain, with food plots planted annually. The acreage contains abundant quail cover with sparsely populated piney woods and open fields. The food plots include partridge peas, milo, bicolor, black soybeans, and sunflowers. We are located in Eastern Colber County approximately 6 miles by road SE of Leighton Alabama. We do not currently have a lodge. Lodging is available at the Doublehead Resort (12 mi. N) or many other options in the Muscle Shoals Area (9-15 mi. W).

The basic hunt at Cottontown Quail includes an opportunity at 12 short term release birds (more available upon request, 2 days minimum notice, with an extra per bird fee.) These guided hunts with dogs provided, you are also welcome to bring your dogs if you would like. We use a motorized RTV with enclosed cab when needed, or you may walk if you prefer. The hunt follows a winding course through pines and open fields with a rolling terrain. The hunt is somewhat challenging, but loads of fun (per our clients).
