Opened to the public in 1973, Westervelt Lodge was the first commercial hunting lodge established in Alabama. Since then many hunting dignitaries have visited including Fred Bear, Tom Kelly, Ben Rogers Lee, Coach Bud Grant, John Elway, Jim Zumbo, Charles Dickey, J. Guthrie and Eddie Salter.

Of the many choices for deer hunting, turkey hunting, and quail and dove hunting in Alabama, Westervelt Lodge's reputation for quality hunting experiences has served as a benchmark since our first hunt in 1951. Guests pursue their best trophies among the white-tailed deer and wild turkeys roaming the 12,000 contiguous acres in West Alabama - private property that rates as some of the finest in the country.
