Otter Creek Farmstead and Distillery is the new standard for quail hunting in Alabama. It has been featured in Covey Rise Magazine and was selected by Garden and Gun Magazine as one the top 25 Dream Destinations for the Traveling Sportsman.

Come join us at Otter Creek Farmstead and Distillery for a quail hunt you will never forget: Hard flying birds, beautiful landscapes, good habitat, well-trained dogs, top-notch guides, fellowship among friends, welcoming hosts, luxurious accommodations, gourmet food, and fireside cocktails and cigars to round out the day.

Located in Ohatchee, Alabama, Otter Creek Farmstead and Distillery is less than 2 hours from Atlanta and 1 hour from Birmingham, providing a convenient destination for family, friend, or corporate groups coming from anywhere in the southeast.

When you schedule a hunt with us, no detail will be overlooked. A typical hunting day at OCF begins with a hearty southern breakfast followed by a morning hunt, gourmet lunch, an afternoon hunt, and then finishes off with a relaxing evening over cocktails and a gourmet supper. You can expect to hunt with experienced guides behind some of the best pointing dogs (English pointers, English setters, and German short-haired pointers) and flushing dogs (English cocker spaniels) in the southeast. Hunting is mostly by foot with transportation throughout the property by side-by-side vehicles. Habitat consists of rolling hills with native warm-season grasses, creek bottoms, and open piney woods. Hunters may use 20 gauge or smaller break action guns, and we do have loaner guns available.

With twelve beautifully furnished guest rooms, a game room, multiple dining areas, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, a beautiful infinity pool, outdoor pro-shop, and a spacious grand room for private dinners or special events, guests will feel right at home during their stay.

Additional sporting activities include combination or mixed-bag hunts, deer hunting in fall, trout fishing in winter in stocked ponds, and bass/bluegill fishing year-round in ponds. Wingshooters can warm up shooting clays over wobble traps before their hunt.

Otter Creek Farmstead and Distillery can accommodate parties of 12 guns at a time with single-occupancy, and up to 16 guns at a time with some double occupancy. Hunting parties can schedule day trips, overnights, or multi-day trips with overnights. Groups of 12 or more guests have exclusive private use of the facilities and hunting grounds. We do offer observer rates for hunters wishing to bring non-hunting spouses or friends. Our season runs from late October to mid-March. Hunt fees are all-inclusive (unlimited birds, bird-cleaning, shells, meals, drinks, and accommodation). Please call for pricing and availability. We looking forward to helping you plan the quail hunt of a lifetime!
